"For today’s prompt, write an ekphrastic poem. An ekphrastic poem is one that’s inspired by a work of art, whether that’s a painting, photograph, sculpture, or some other creation. I’ve included five ekphrastic prompts below. Look them over and choose one (or more) to prompt your poem today. - prompt taken from Writers Digest website." We were given five pictures to consider or we could choose one of own. I did not post the five pictures but I went with their hourglass example.

“Hourglass”

(Tanka)

In silence, you count

Oh elegant hourglass

The sand’s almost gone

One more grain, one more sweet grain

May I have just one last grain?

Be kind. Stay curious.

XO,

Ro
